This is what I take:
1. Plavix - this is a blood thinner, keeps my blood flowing through my heart and new acquired stent
2. Metoprolol - This is for HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (I will share those results from the day of another time)
3. Simvastatin - This is for HIGH CHOLESTEROL, I imagine it helps the soldiers with the blood thinning and makes their job a bit easier.
4. Aspirin - Just another one of those Blood Thinners (Yes, the one I will take the REST of MY LIFE)
5. Lisinopril - Yep, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (pay attention, they don't call it the "Silent Killer" for anything)
6. Nitroglycer - NITRO, I carry this around in a little container on my key chain. In the event I feel I am having chest pain, then it is to be placed under my tongue. GOES EVERYWHERE I GO!
7. Hydroco - Norco? PAIN... I am slowly getting away from these. There is quit a bit of pain that comes along with having a Heart Attack, and it isn't always your Heart.
8. Nicoderm - Oh Yeah! This is the "I have stopped smoking and could rip your head off at anytime" remedy. A Patch a Day keeps Homicide Detectives away... smile
9. Bupropion - Better known as WELBUTRIN! This goes hand and hand with the Nicoderm.
And like I said, there is the every wonderful remedies for constipation. New Diet, No Smoking... You let me know if Nature continues to be on your side.
I have a pretty little box that I place all the pills in for the week. I can't find my keys on most days, this box is a MUST! My sisters Tammy and Robin were great to do it for me for the first week. Tammy even went as far as writing what each Rx was for, like "Pain", "High Blood Pressure"... or my favorite and the one I sure they got the biggest kick out of "CRAZY"... yeah that was the wording on the Welbutrin...
Just a note*** Be sure to check "Name Brand" vs. "Generic"! Who knew that GENERIC can be MORE EXPENSIVE $$$$$ than BRAND NAME. If you have a large RX to fill, bad insurance or no insurance, shop around and find your best price. I would suggest that you ALWAYS stay with the same Pharmacy so that they would catch any medications that might interfere with the medications you are currently taking.
There it is... A Heart Attack in a Bottle... or Pill Box in my case.
